Bryan Drugge
|
Lead Guitar, Lead/Backup Vocals
|
|
Bryan is a veteran of the Vancouver music scene, having previously toured all over Canada. A gifted player who combines his unique style of Reggae, Rock, Country, and Bluegrass guitar patterns which distinguishes Ketchy Shuby from every other reggae band around. Wailing, soulful guitar solos and lead lines are not that common in roots reggae music, but you will definitely find them whenever Bryan is present.

Coming from Trinidad and Tobago, Ian is no stranger to Caribbean music. As the bass player, he is responsible for the rolling lines that really define the melody in reggae music. Ian is also proficient in many other styles, and incorporates those elements into Ketchy Shuby's unique sound.

Rhythm Guitar, Lead/Backup Vocals
|
Phil Boutros
|
Phil has always had rhythm in his blood, and took drum
lessons, which was his main instrument at the time, in the
early 2000s. After joining another reggae band as the
second drummer, a void in the rhythm section led to him
going back to guitar after over a decade of not playing.
Reggae rhythm guitar being basically a percussion
instrument (keeping time on alternate beats with the
drummer), this was a natural fit. That was over a decade
ago, and the rest is history! Phil sings lead vocals on
the majority of Ketchy Shuby songs, and he loves to get the
crowd engaged in the action.

Shem Ellis
|
Drums
|
|
There simply is no reggae music without the heartbeat. Originally hailing from Jamaica, the Holy Ground of reggae music, Shem is no stranger to this concept. Be it One Drop, Ska, Rock Steady, or any other beat, Shem is the metronome through our musical journey.
